Weekly Outline: Jan. 8th to Jan. 12th

Welcome back. I hopes your Winter Break was all that you wanted it to be. Filled with family, friends and maybe a few gifts as well. We are back for another 9 weeks of hard work and goal setting. Thats right. Its only 9 weeks until Spring Break. After that we come back for another 14 weeks. Once those final 14 weeks is up school will be done for the year. That gives you a total of 23 weeks of in school time to finish your work for the year. This time is going to blow by fast. I am confident that every person, if they put their mind to it and keep focused, can accomplish their goal of completing their respective grade. At this point you should be about 41% done each of your courses.

We have some exciting things coming up this month. Firstly we will be having a traditional foods luncheon on Tuesday, Jan. 23rd. Last month a number of students dug for clams, shucked them and handed them out to local elders. Now they will finish this by cooking our community a feast. A couple days after this our school will be hitting the slopes up at Shames Mountain. This will be the first in a series of Ski/Snowboard trips.

We have a new Educational Assistant: Meagan Wilson. She has a lot to contribute and give to our community. Treat her with respect and get to know her. You might just have a lot in common.

Cell Phone and Technology/Behaviour tokens are still in effect. Many of you missed out on a $75 gift card. We called out lots of names on Dec. 22nd yet none of those people were there. Our next draw will be  on March 9th, the day before Spring Break.

Mark Zarvie: Mark will be here on Tuesday to work out with the male workout club. He has a lot of great tips and exercises so be sure to come on out.
