Weekly Outline: Jan 22nd to Jan 26th – Ski Week

We have a busy week. On Tuesday we will be having our Traditional Foods Luncheon. A big “thank you” to Mona Danes who will be our Aboriginal Role Model for the recipes and cooking of the luncheon. The luncheon will be from 12:00 to 1:15 with regular classes resuming at 1:30. Please tell your parents and grandparents.

After the luncheon on Tuesday we will be going on our Ski Trip to Shames Mountain. This will be the first of 3 ski trips. The next being on Feb. 2nd and the final being on Feb. 16th.  We will be preparing for the Ski Trip on Wednesday. If you need any water resistant gear we can provide that. I recommend if you do not have snow pants to wear sweats or track pants and then we can provide water resistant gear. DO NOT WEAR JEANS. They are not flexible and are not good to ski or snowboard in. The weather looks like it will be around -1 to -6 degrees so dress warm. If you do not have the proper gear you will not be allowed to come on the trip. We will be leaving at 8:15am.

Well not 100%, there is a high likely hood that we will have an opportunity to take a few students to Kiel this year. This would be open to grades 11 and 12 and only about 7 students. There will be an application process and both attendance and academic performance will be considered. The trip to Kiel would take place either late April or early July.

Remember to focus on your goals this week. Your weekly and daily goals are important and it is those goals which will get you to graduate.
