Weekly Outline: Feb. 5th – Feb. 9th

Its the start of the new term. We are halfway through the year and you should be close to 40%-50% done your course work. We have about 4.5 months left if you take out Spring Break. Its crunch time as we move deeper into the new year. Grades will be coming out in the middle of the month. Teachers will be working hard this week assessing your all work submitted on or before February 2nd. Please review your teacher’s comments and feedback. Take pride in your successes and motivation in what you need to work on.

Great job on all those grade 12s who applied for work experience. Get ready to explore some exciting career opportunities. For those who are not Grade 12, think about what you might want to do for Work Experience. There are a whole host of opportunities to try out different careers before you graduate in your grade 12 year.

The All Native Basketball Tournament is coming up. You will have an opportunity to go to the All Native Basketball Tournament for free with the school. Stay tuned! Also, while I know the All Native is super exciting remember that school is important as well and attendance during the day is still mandatory.

After the All Native and once grades are out, we will be doing another round of Learning Plan Meetings over the course of Feb. 20th to Feb. 23rd in the afternoons. It is important that you show up to your scheduled meeting times to go over where you are at and what you will need to accomplish. If you have not gone through our first Learning Plan Meetings in September this will be a great new experience for you.
