Weekly Outline: Dec. 3rd – Dec. 7th

Week 14 of 39. That means you have 25 more weeks of school left.

There is not much going on this week as far as special events go. As we move towards Christmas there will be some things coming up. This is a great week to buckle down and get some good work done.

Ms. Stone will be taking the lead on our Monthly School Wide Unit. This unit is on the big idea: “Responsibility, Accountability and the Teenage Brain”. Remember that participation is mandatory and this is a great way to get a unit in Math/English done. Ms. Stone is gone with Mr. Janz on Monday so this will start on Tuesday. It will run from 10:10 to 11:35.

Great work everyone on the fundraising and selling chocolates. It is going amazingly well this year and I’m very happy about the level of student participation. It is great to see such motivated students.

Kennedi, Tawni and Sam are organizing a Christmas Carnival for our final Friday before Christmas Break. This carnival will be open to the whole community and we hope to have lots of kids here. Please start telling your family and friends about it. There will be games and movies. If you are interested in helping out talk to Mr. Janz or one of the organizers.

Remember your electives in the afternoon. Please check the timetable.

CHECK IN WITH TEACHERS: Study Block Cards will be given out by teachers. Before working in the common area please check-in with the teacher.

Fun Friday Vote:

Thanks for all the great votes. This week Diana Lake with Marshmallows and Hotdogs won out. We will be leaving for Diana Lake at lunch time so we have enough time to hike out there, have a fire, hotdogs and marshmallows. There will be a signup sheet just to get a sense for how many students will be joining us and if we should get the bus. This will be the last Fun Friday until the new year. Next week we have a TREC to Terrace and Ferry Island. The final Friday (Dec. 21st) students are organizing a Christmas Carnival.
