Week 22 of 39. That means you have 17 more weeks of school left. We have past the half way mark of school. We are heading onward to the end of the year.
ANBT: The school will be going to the All Native Basketball Tournament twice this week. Tuesday and Thursday at the end of the day. Students will be released at the ANBT and can continue to watch the games if they wish.
Learning Plans: If you have not had a learning plan meeting or missed yours you will still have to do one. Ms. Bryan and Mr. Janz will be doing learning plan meetings with all the students who did not receive one.
Ski Trip: Thanks to all the students who participated. It was a cold ski day but it was a good ski day. I am proud of all the students who tried out skiing and it was great to see so many students make it up the chairlift.
Switch Pass: The new Nintendo Switch. This can be used for Just Dance or other physical games during PE Time. On the days without PE you can get a “Switch Pass” to be able to use the Switch from 2:30 to 3:10. A Switch Pass must be signed off on by two of the teachers. It will be based on work completed, behaviour and attendance for the day. On a Switch Pass you can play what you want. I have even downloaded Fortnite.
New Logo:
We are going to be designing a new logo for our school. We will be working with Kelly Clifton. Once the new logo is finished we will be ordering some sweaters and T-Shirts. As part of the process I want to do some brainstorming about what our Logo should look like:
- Make a list of adjectives that describe our school
- How do you want our school to be perceived?
- What do you want people to feel when they see our logo
- What should our school colours be?
- What are 5 logos that you like?
- What should the font be?
- Should there be an animal or not? If yes then what?
- Or maybe an “avatar” or “character” of some type?
- Should we have our acronym (PCS) or our full name: Pacific Coast School
- Anything else?
